The hotel is at most 4 minutes away from the North Point mtr. It is easy to find despite being situated in a market along Chun Yeung Street. It is also near a variety of fast food chains, supermarkets and noodle houses. If you want to go on a very cheap city tour, the North Point Tram terminus is just around the corner. The room itself is very cozy and quiet (it could pass off as an ikea sample room design) equipped with a flat screen TV,microwave, fridge, and an electronic water kettle. Their internet connection is amazing.
When we checked in, their files are in chaos because they couldn't find our booking. The first time, they cleaned our room, but on the next succeeding days, they just came to collect the trash and replace the towels. Also there isn't a phone in the room to call the front desk for any concerns so you have to go down. But they you the hotel number so apparently your roaming mobile phone can also work as an in-room phone.
Modern look, and basics are covered. Free fast wifi. Relatively new hotel. Great location 3min walk to metro, great market just in front of hotel.
Market street can be loud at night, due to cleaning and random trucks. Housekeeping never showed up.
Close to North Point MTR
Fishy smell at the entrance of the hotel
It was very noisy facing Chun Yeung Street as there is a wet market. When I asked for room on the other side, it costed me hk$200 more per night. It was very dark going back the hotel at night. The apartment did not change the towel every day. There was no clean up of the room when stayed for 2 consecutive days.
The hotel apartment was available when we wanted it.
The pillows are too flat. Better provide higher pillows or more pillows.
The room was clean
if a microwave oven in the room means that it is an apartment, any electonics shop could be an apartment. I accept that the rooms were small, but selling the hotel as a Hotel Apartment, that is a lie. There was no kitchen or dining area in my room. It was a room with a microwave. The room was clean and tidy, but very limited in all other aspects. Only a 1 night stay so to sleep it is enough, but not reccomended for families in any way. Not at all kid freindly as we found out.
The internet was good and the apartment was adequate
THe staff are nice but this hotel is very disorganised. The management rally needs to pick up its act and support their reception staff much better. English language is very poor, buy the staff did try and were friendly. This is a 2 star hotel in a poor location with bad management. It is safe and quiet and clean though and the mrt is just 5 minutes walk. INternet was good. It is not worth the 750 I had to pay and it is not on my list for future Hong Kong trips
Good room space (family room), great beds, basic facilities (microwave, fridge, TV, air-con, power point, WiFi), relatively easy transport, relatively nice staff. WiFi is great (there is also Ethernet cable connection), and the TV has all the free digital TV channels.
No phone, no clock (alarm or not), no cable TV, not many sanitary items provided (not even tissue boxes, just a few toilet rolls), poor renovation (e.g. water not flowing away on the bathroom floor in our room). But the good does outweigh the bad, considering the price range.
Closed to mtr station
No shampoo and bath lotion provided. Noisy market outside the Hotel at daytime.
I like the hotel because it is newly renovated. It is also one bus ride from the airport and accessible by mtr.
They don't provide daily towels.
Within walking distance to North Point MTR Station.
Above the market street, noisy. Room is simple, bed and mattress not comfortable.
Accessibility to train station
If you are after a relaxing holiday, this is not the hotel of choice. It is more for a weekend shopping in the downtown with its accesibility to train station. Surrounding is not clean as there are a lot of hawker shops around. Front of the hotel is almost diffcult to see bec of too many shops. Place is so busy.
We really like the location, prefer to walk 2 mins to hop on trams to other area than finding MTR train stations and go up and down the escalators. North point is quite in the middle of anywhere on island side. Nearby the hotel has lots of local store, eg indonesia grocery store, local bAkery, and the hotel is just located next to the wet market. Quite safe even during midnight when going back, just be careful if you are single ladies, there are some "working girls" nearby, ppl might misunderstood u as one of them.
Firstly, i dont understand why they would take away guests belonging after the made the room. After the 1st night, we found out the blue towel we brought with us was missing, it was places on the bed when we left. Instead of hanging in the bathroom, it was actually talen by the housekeeping. After comlaining to the reception, we got it back washed when we went back to the room later that day. The room is not 300 sth square feet. Its only gross area, i'd say its around 120 sq feet in real. Bathroom is right next to the bed. Didnt try microwave, but the safe and fridge works. Last but mot least, we found 3 HUGE cockroaches 3 times throughout our 6nights stay - 1st, 3rd & the day when we were going to checkout. We phoned the recption to deal with it the 1st time, it took a while for the night shift man to come up holding newspaper to catch it. Eventually spent 5 mins to catch that HUGE roach! The last time my honey just did it himself to place the bin aiming at it & stepped on it. In case the staff didnt see the dead roach, my honey use some travel leaflets to bracket it. And we went down to tell the reception, the night shift man was waiting for the morning shift staff i think, after listening to our compliant, he just didnt seem bother. Only saying will ask the housekeeping to clean our room ( and we already checked out ) my bf could only leave him - "you will not see me coming back again" Funny is that the staff thought he said "see you" so he said "see you again!" If you are a fan of cockroaches, please feel free to stay.
Great price, staff friendly if you are looking for a cheap place to stay this is it.
Fire alarm randomly goes off all hours of the day and night. Floor in the bedroom was damaged and almost cut my foot open. The location is in the centre of North Point market and is not for the faint hearted as the smell is hideous. The bed was like sleeping on a tomb stone. The hot water was random more cold than hot.
The location is good, closed to metro
The facility is super poor. The building is facing one of the most noisy streets in hk, ppl in the market start doing business at 6am, will sure be waken up! Will never stay again.
